Instrument of the Month

The instrument of the month for February is the Sangban!

The Sangban is a West African Bass Drum that is played along with Djembe drums! It is made out of wood, animal skin, and rope. You play it by hitting the drum head with a wooden mallet and the bell with a metal or wooden mallet!

The Orff Method

The Orff Method is a method of teaching music education that was created by Carl Orff. It involves students learning music through singing, playing instruments, moving and dancing, improvisation, reading, drama, speech, listening, and exploring.
